  • The subtext to this game is that you should protect anyone that is not your target?

I imagine that's obvious, maybe, but my brain is full of fluff and stuff.

  • I think it's a bit of both

(I know I'm trying to kill a particular person, and if I kill anyone else on the way to that target then it's not a bad thing, but... each person that gets killed by someone else is a risk to me winning, so therefore I should try to prevent opponents from being killed by each other).

  • yeah, i guess that's what i was thinking, you don't want to let others kill as that could result in a win for them

  • This got me thinking about a 'hide the flag' type of game. obviously we can't hide things, but we could set up some sort of object/item that acts as the respective flags, 2 teams of 3, and you get an offensive and defensive sorta thing going.

Could you do that via manasprites? - Just agree that the winning team is the one that collects the most sprites?

Or how about saying that the winning team is the one that is the closest to the centre of the map at the end? Some maps like Techstatic or Peace on Chaos could really lend themselves to that.

  • hmmm. pretty cool that might work. might be better than what i was thinking but not really sure. my thoughts were that 1 team member from each team had to bind a Bolt Tower (and otherwise Bolt Towers are not able to be used in gameplay) and that served as the 'flag'. you get maybe 2 or 3 turns to plant the 'flag' somewhere.....??

Yeah, that'd also work - You could do it with different things to, an Icarus Tower would be interesting, you'd have a semi mobile capture the flag.

Might need to consider whether or not you're allowing teleports.

  • semi mobile seems rad, maybe we start with that, assuming this holds any interest?

not sure about the teleport aspect...

  • another thought is to have a witness protection style game, where you have to escort a chosen creature from one end of the map to the next, while the other team does the same thing starting from the opposite end of map.
