v1.5 - Wizard Nobles Table is Not Reasonably Functional
v1.5 - Wizard Nobles Table is Not Reasonably Functional
tl;dr - The table of available Wizard Nobles needs to be made more functional so that Realm Designers can make choices.
With the advent of the social rank promotion features which require Wizard Nobles to be selected by Realm Designers for placement in Realms, it is critically important that the table of available Wizard Nobles is easy for Realm Designers to use. At present, it is not easy to use.
At a minimum, the table of Wizard Nobles needs to be sortable by all of its categories. E.g., Realm Designers should be able to sort Wizard Nobles by their name, level, staff type, bodygear type, etc. This will make it easier for Realm Designers to find particular Wizard Nobles which might fit best in their Realm. And by making this easier, there is an element of realm competition as Wizard Nobles submit their wizard in direct competition with other Wizard Nobles.
Please make it easier for Realm Designers to sort through the table of available Wizard Nobles. Without more ease in this regard, it remains too easy for Realm Designers to avoid the headache of searching for the right player's Wizard Noble and instead place wizards of their own design in their realms.

+1 The category system is most definitely the way to go.
On a related note: As stated in a prior thread, I am currently a Lord in my own realm after purchasing the upgrade. One idea would be limiting how long a lord can be accepted into realms after being submitted. This forces users to resubmit their builds as their level increases, while leaving previous build in realms that suited the realms difficulty. This could effectively "thin" the list, allow them to be sorted by submission date, and would work nicely with the categories that No Worries suggested.

Being able to see talisman names instead of symbols would also be useful. Working out what equipment a player Lord is using is somewhat akin to agony.

The talismans should have tooltips giving full info - name, function and stats. If this is not the case, then there is a bug.

The tooltips work fine for me.Julian Gollop wrote:The talismans should have tooltips giving full info - name, function and stats. If this is not the case, then there is a bug.

But when you're looking at a list of a hundred Wizard Lords it would be quicker to move your eye over talisman names, than it is to move your mouse cursor over the talismans.
The Wizard Lord list needs to be functional rather than aestheticly pleasing. Something that is full screen, sortable, with named gear, and that we could apply filters to would be ideal.

Actually gender would be another useful filter.

Another useful filter would be guild affiliation to better enable guild cohesion once guilds are implemented.

This. As I've said in another thread, atm there are so many Lords the likely hood is that your passing up the opportunity of picking someone who really wants to create a Realm so anything that can improve on that is a good thing imho.NoWorries wrote:Another useful filter would be guild affiliation to better enable guild cohesion once guilds are implemented.
