Matthew Smith went to work for Software Projects after publishing Manic Miner through Bug-Byte, and he was able to take the rights of the game with him (apparently some kind of oversight in his contract with BB) so they republished it with a different cassette inlay and some minor changes to some of the rooms. I had the Bug-Byte version so I never saw those changes, but the Wiki page details them (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manic_Miner).
