Tweak: Make each marauder random

Discussion and questions about the latest version of Chaos Reborn. Not for bugs, but for comments about the game play.

  • Just had some discussion in game regarding the reduncy of marauders. Mainly the problems are that they tend to become a monotonous grind.

One thing that might go towards fixing this is simply making the marauders RNG everytime one is spawned, as opposed to allocating them to a seed. Giving a new lord with a new name.....

an extension of this idea could be to have player lords come out to play :D

  • Using player names for marauders would be nice. You could easily let people add themselves to a marauder list.

The current list of names is awful, I'd rather be fighting a wizard called Derek, than something like Elfbane Itchypants.

Here's an idea, let player submit suggestions for marauder names.

The Guild of the Cephalopods is now recruiting - We embrace all.

    - Chief Tentacle Arranger in The Guild of the Cephalopods.

  • It would be cool to be able to submit lords with specific loadouts, similar to how the realm makers do with kings/queens.

Currently in the realm editor, before submitting it you simply change your profile name and loadout to the specific king/queen you want to appear in your realm.

Something similar could be done for lords. Just have a moderator so your not getting the "@&*# Face" or "@#$I @(#*er"s

Would even go as far as to suggest the idea for queing up as a marauder. When you log in, you could hit a button that queues your wizard and loadout to pop out as a marauder, which you could then be notified of to invade as them.
