V1.12 Possible Exploit

Realms and karma and this

' and for players completing realms you have designed'

So a designer gets karma for someone completing their realm.

What happens if the person who designed the realm runs it and completes it? So they still get Karma?

As if so what is to stop them running it over and over racking up karma given they know all the routes and encounters etc and just farming it to rack up lots of karma etc?

I dont know the exact karma reward a designer of a realm gets for a person completing it but running it over and over it not a hard thing to do. Yes costs go up in terms of enter fee but as long as there is enough gold in the realm this can be easierly offset.

I'm convinced. Realm Designers shouldn't get Karma for completing their own Realm. Tutorial Realms are already exploitable to get Steam achievements. No reason designers of similarly easy Realms should reap a windfall of Karma for social rank ascension.

To add to this, Realm Designers should not be allowed to run their own realms and post high scores.

Nor should they be able to farm them.

It makes of a very unfair playing field as they know all the routes and all the outcomes for the encounters.

So you could have players spending lots of time in a realm to then post a score and see the designer of that realm with a better score.

Seems deeply unfair

i agree with all that on 1 hand.

on the otherhand, you only get 1 karma point when someone finishes your realm.

which is roughly equivalent to diddlysquat given the current conversion rate.

realm design is an arduous task, using clunky tools, after which you get poorly rated, and nothing beyond personal satisfaction :)

def agree with the score board. but in terms of kharma we are talking a minimum of 8 (?) or so battles gaining you 1 realm karma.
